Mama Sweet: I have been running around trying to decorate, shop, and catch up on the endless stacks of laundry. The frenzy of the holidays is in high gear and all my three year old wanted to do was play "Pretty Pretty Princess." So, I stopped everything and played with her. The sheer look of joy on her face when I sat down was my biggest sweet of the day. We both had the best time and she felt "PHIL"d. One of my favorite parenting books is Buddha Never Raised Kids and Jesus Didn't Drive Carpool: Seven Principles for Parenting with Soul, written by Vickie Falcone. In her book, she states all children should be PHIL'd by their parents. They should feel Powerful, Heard, Important and Loved. The PHIL framework has been my most treasured guide to making good parenting choices. This book truly changed me as a person and parent. I recommend it to everyone.
Mama Sour: It is going to be a LONG 25 days until Christmas!
